About Us:

The Hanger 912 Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides donated new clothing from area retailers free of charge to local youth in need. The clothing is offered in the discreet setting of a mobile store, allowing the youth to try on and select items of their choice.

The Hanger is in partnership with local boutiques for the donation of new clothing, shoes, and accessories. Monetary support is used for the on-going purchase of personal hygiene items, undergarments, restocks between boutique donations, specific needs for male students, and other operational needs to keep this experience a positive one.

Each student The Hanger serves is given at least one-weeks’ worth of clothing that they are able to pick out and try on. Each student is given a hair brush, shampoo, soap, deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, hair ties, mascara, lip gloss, socks, and undergarments. Students are able to pick out accessories to match their outfits and style. This will aid in the effort to boost the child’s confidence. Therefore, giving the child one less thing to worry about and making it that much easier for he or she to focus on their schoolwork.

It is our mission to empower the under privileged youth of our communities by providing confidence, character, and peer inclusion. We believe that when you look good you feel good, and when you feel good you do good. Providing these students with the confidence they need will boost their morale at school, encourage their attendance and participation, and give them the tools needed to dress for success.
